how do i get to the auger belt to replace it?

Hello Jody, thank you for your question. Remove all the fuel from the fuel tank by running the engine until it stops or drain using a siphon pump. Remove the belt cover at the front of the engine. pull the auger pulley off the front engine pulley. Use a wrench to pivot the idler pulley toward the right. Lift the drive belt off of the drive pulley. Carefully pivot the snow thrower forward so it rests on the auger housing. Remove the frame cover from the underside of the snow thrower. Unscrew the screw and remove the spring. Use a clamp to the clamp the drive lever to the handle bar. Remove the old belt from around the auger pulley. Slip the belt between the support bracket and the auger pulley to replace. We hope this helps.
