The rubber seal on the lid for this slow cooker has partially detached and I can't re-attach. The unit is otherwise ok. Do I need the seal, or can it be removed and the unit operated without it?

Hello Jon, thank you for your question. Without the gasket, there will not be an air tight seal so it may take longer than usual cooking times. We hope this is of some help to you.
