The condenser fan should only run when the compressor runs to cool the refrigerator, and the compressor only should have to run occasionally throughout the day to maintain the temperature. It should normally be getting 120 volts to the fan. We hope this helps.
Hello Paul, Thank you for your inquiry. The condenser fan is signaled by the temperature sensor, the thermostat, the compressor, and condenser coils. First check the condenser coils to see if they are dirty, and then pull out the condenser fan to see if the blade turns freely. You can test the condenser fan with a multimeter.
