ARE THESE TOOLS OBSELETE? DISCONTINUED?AND PLEASE CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT DOES "ARBOR" MEANS ON SAW BLADES. MINE SAYS 5/8" ARBOR. I'VE SEEN OTHERS BUT THEY SAY 3/8" DOES THAT REALLY MATTER?
Juan For model number PC186CS - February 20, 2023

Hello Juan, Thank you for your inquiry. We are only a parts dealer and do not sell or make the tools, so we have no information on whether the manufacturer has discontinued them, we would recommend contacting Porter Cable directly. The arbor is the saw shaft where a circular saw blade is mounted. The arbor provides power from the motor to the blade. A 5/8 inch arbor is a larger shaft than a 3/8 inch arbor so a blade for a 3/8 inch arbor would not fit a 5/8 inch shaft. We hope this helps you.
