Do these brush holders over time crack or just get carbon or other dust inside that cause the brushes to stick? My sander runs. I replaced the feet and base with the felt. What I see is one brush sparks and the other does not. The commutator is not worn, it just has carbon layer on it.

Hello William, Thank you for the question. Over time if the brushes wear down it can cause wear and damage to the holder as well and they will need to be replaced. We hope this solves your problem!
