Hello Abraham, Thank you for your inquiry. The purpose of the muffler is to reduce that exhaust noise and to prevent exhaust sparks from exiting and igniting dry grass, leaves or debris using the spark arrestor on the front-which can be a cause of the engine not starting if the arrestor is clogged or damaged. Check the front of the muffler on the arrestor for any issues. Good luck with your repair.

leaf blower will not prime I've replaced fuel lines fuel filter removed carburetor and cleaned with carburetor cleaner I can not get fuel to enter the primer bulb once I get it to run it runs great

Hi David, Thank you for your question. If your leaf blower will not prime, the fuel filter may be dirty and you will need to replace it and the fuel lines. If the primer bulb on the carburetor is worn or damaged, it will need to be replaced. If the carburetor is dirty, it will need to be cleaned. We hope this helps!
