The two steering rods (the subasm link and the lawnmower drag link) that go from the base of the steering column to the front wheel brackets. How does one get the rear or the side on the steering column off?

Hi Thomas, Thank you for your question. Here are some instructions from our website for the drag link that may help you with your repair. Use an open end wrench to hold the nut on the pivot joint and a socket on the bottom of the nut and remove it. Turn the steering wheel far enough to one side to gain access to the rear pivot nut and use an open end wrench and socket to remove the pivot joint for the rear connection. Then install the new drag link and tighten the nuts with the open end wrench and socket. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
