Could the zone control cable be bad if I turn the key and nothing happens. Is there a type of battery in the system.

Hi Rick, Thank you for your question. If your mower will not start when you turn the key, the switch attached to it may no longer be working. If the cable and switch are fine, check and make sure that you have fuel reaching the engine. Inspect the carburetor and the fuel lines. You should also check to see if you have a dirty or disconnected spark plug or a dirty air filter. If the filter is dirty, you will need to replace it.
