How to replace fuel tank
Jose For model number UT10910 - October 27, 2023

Hi Jose, Thank you for your question. Before replacing the fuel tank on your chainsaw, make sure that there is no fuel in the tank and wait until the engine has cooled. Also make sure that the on/off switch is in the off position. To start the repair, use a screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the top cover and remove it. Then set the chainsaw on its side and unthread the screws securing the recoil starter. Then remove the screws securing the left-side of the chain brake handle and move it out of the way. Then remove the caps from the fuel and oil tanks and then remove the starter. With the starter removed, place the fuel and oil caps back on the tanks. Using a small flat-head screwdriver, depress one of the retaining tabs to release the primer bulb from the bracket. Then remove the fuel lines from the bulb and then detach the return line from the carburetor. You can now remove the old fuel tank. To install the new fuel tank, feed the new gas line behind the carburetor as you position the new fuel tank in the chainsaw. Then attach the gas lines to the primer bulb. The new gas line from the tank attaches to the longer port. Once the lines have been installed, snap the primer bulb into place and reattach the return line to the carburetor. Then remove the fuel and oil caps and position the starter on the chainsaw. Place the caps back on the tanks and realign the chain brake handle and secure it with the screw. Then secure the starter to the chainsaw with the screws. Then realign the top cover and secure it with the screws. The repair is complete. We hope this helps!
