Hi James, Thank you for your question. To manually adjust the speed of your drill press, you will first need to unplug your drill press from the electrical outlet. You will then need to open your drill press and use the knob and latch located on the side of the drill press to shift the motor backwards to loosen the belt, so you can move it. Next, to change the speed, place your hand under the belt and gently pull it to the desired level while turning the pulleys. Once the belt is in place, secure the motor and the belt with the knob and latch. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!
