How to take the filter out and clean it?

Hello Trudie, Thank you for your inquiry. To access the filter on this dishwasher, we'll need to remove the lower rack and lower sprayer arm. The lower rack should just pull out, and to remove the lower spray arm, remove the lower wash arm cap and twist the center nozzle to remove it, then you should be able to lift it and the sprayer arm out. To remove the pump cover, remove the screws around the edge, making sure they don't fall into the pump area, then lift the cover off. The filter is just friction fitted into the base, and you should just be able to grasp it and pull it out. Make sure to check the backwash arm inside as well to clear out any debris, you may have to lift it out to access the slots and clear them out. Now you can clean the filter and reverse the steps to put it back in. We hope this helps.
