How to tell if your bearings are going bad, what noise should i listen for?

Hi Ike, Thank you for your question. If the bearings on your router are going bad, they will make a ticking or a squealing sound. You will also notice excessive heat around the bearing locations on the motor castings. Also, if there is a lot of resistance when you rotate the spindle, then the bearings are bad. When they are in good shape, the spindle will turn freely. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
