Hi Susan, Thank you for your question. If your coffee maker will not turn on, make sure that the switch is turned on and that the coffee maker has an adequate supply of water. If it is not working, you may have a broken knob, thermostat, a blown fuse, or a faulty power cord. If your coffee maker is experiencing a lack of power, check the circuit breaker and make sure that it is not turned off. Check and make sure that the filter is positioned correctly. If the filter is off-centered or unbalanced, it will prevent the coffee maker from working correctly. If your coffee maker is dirty or clogged, the coffee maker will not work correctly. Start the coffee maker and when it starts to heat pour 5 cups of vinegar through the filter. Once you have completed this, rinse the coffee maker out with water. Then see if you can make a pot of coffee. If the lines are clogged with mineral buildup, use a small brush and clean them out with soap and water. If you have any questions, please let us know.
