The motor doesn't run up to speed. Very quiet and then shuts off at 30 psi. Is this the motor itself or something else?

Hi Pat, Thankyou for writing. We suggest testing the Pressure Switch. You can check the continuity with a Multimeter. We hope this helps!

What are the symptoms of a bad run capacitor?

Hi Pat, Thank you for writing. If the capacitor is damaged or worn, it can cause the compressor to work harder, which can cause a humming noise from the access panel of the condenser unit or from the AC's motor area. The fan may not spin; the compressor may not move. Compressor may shudder at start up or shuts off quickly. We hope this helps!
