Hello Judith, Thank you for the question. Here is a repair story from a previous customer. 1. Removed 2 screws from the bottom plate. 2. Lifted off bottom plate and remove beater bar and old drive belt. 3. Cleaned all threads etc from beater bar. 4. Reassembled in reverse order.
