Product Description ?

Authentic replacement part used on Husqvarna riding lawn mowers/tractors. This cable consists of a metal wire cable with z-type bent end and rubberized cover/body. The clutch cable engages the deck.

You may need pliers to complete this repair.

• First you want to see where the old cable is attached
• Just remove the cable end there and install the new one
• Now you can run the new cable up to the control handle
• Then just as the old cable, put the z-shaped end through the hole in the control handle
• Tie the cable in place just as the old one was, but leave enough clearance and free play to avoid over-bending and breaking the new cable

This was an OEM replacement and went in with no problems. Mower is great!
This was a direct replacement. Removed the gas tank, hooked the cable at the bottom and finished up top at the clutch lever. Reinstalled gas tank and I was off to cut the lawn.

    Clutch cable did the job
The clutch cable fixed my problem to get the mower deck working ok. I have one complaint trying to find a fuel shut off solenoid for this unit, from husqvarna, but amazon came to the rescue .

    Worked perfectly

    Good Part Bad Shippingg
This was the right part and my machine is fixed. However, since the tracking report is available, I know why the part took nine days to travel an hour away from where it was shipped to my house. Not your fault, but it went on a journey from Utah to Sacramento to San Francisco to Sacramento again and back to Utah to get to me.

How do you replace the mower clutch cable spring. This is the clutch that runs the mower it has a reverse clutch also.
Jim for model number 960450059 asked on 2023-03-22
Hi Jim, Thank you for your question. Here are some instructions from our website that you may use to install the part: First you want to see where the old cable is attached. Then just remove the cable end there and install the new one. Now you can run the new cable up to the control handle. Then just as the old cable, put the z-shaped end through the hole in the control handle. Tie the cable in place just as the old one was, but leave enough clearance and free play to avoid over-bending and breaking the new cable. We hope this helps with the repair!

On a Husqvarna YTH22V46 lawn Tractor:
    Removed tractor hood
Removed fuel tank and set on engine
Removed manual blade clutch engagement lever assembly from inside dash
Removed old cable from lever assembly
Detatched mower deck, slid out from under tractor and removed old cable
Attached new cable to mower deck and reversed previous steps up to re-installing fuel tank
NOTE: Replacement cable should easily attach to lever assembly. If you need to "stretch" the cable to install it is not the proper cable. (not an issue if you bought from eReplacmentParts.com) Important to test movement of lever at this point to ensure free movement and engagement with no binding.

Replaced fuel tank and tractor hood.
    Cut lawn

For the cable I made notes on how the old one was installed, then installed the new one. For the blades I used a glove on one hand to hold the blades, then removed the bolts holding the blades. Then just placed the new blades on the spindles and tightened the bolts.

    1. Remove 2 gas tank bolts, and slide the tank out on top of engine (no need to empty it).
    2. There’s a pin holding the cable assembly at the top, remove that freeing the cable.
    3. Remove old cable.
    4. Put new cable in place at the top, and put pin back.
    5. Route new cable down through body, and over top of where it clips in down below.
    6. Be sure to attach spring first, then you can easily pull the cable back through where it clips in at the bottom.
    7. Push gas tank back into place and tighten bolts.

That should do it. Just be sure that you don’t attempt to put it though the clip in area near the bottom and then terminate the spring.
