Product Description ?

This is an authentic OEM part from Husqvarna, Poulan and Weed Eater for use with Lawn Tractors. The drag link is part of the steering mechanism that connects the pitman arm and the left spindle. The most common reason for replacing this steering link is if the mower is not steering properly and this steering link is damaged. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the drag link is a 3/8” socket, 9/16” socket, 1/2” socket, 15/16” socket, adjustable wrench and a 1/2” wrench.

    2. Replaced with new drag link.
    3. Pretty simple, two bolts and nuts.

    Old drag link broke at ball joint

    1. Removed mower deck per instructions in the manual.
    2. Followed drag link to the connection.
    3. Used 9/16 open end wrench to hold the nut, while using 3/4 inch socket to remove the bolt. Removed bolts from both ends of the drag link.
    4. Removed old drag link, inserted the new one.
    5. Used wrench and socket to tighten bolts.
    6. Reattached mower deck.

    Drag link ball joint broke

    Removed old drag link and install new link and greased the king pins. Test drove and started mowing. Easy fix .

    Drag link broke

    Removed the old drag link. What made the job hard was getting the nuts off to remove the old drag link. Other than that the job was easy and the repair part fit perfect. We did it without removing the mower deck that was a job in itself. The tractor is about 20 yrs. old and that's the reason the nuts came off so hard. Used quite a bit of penetrating oil.
