Rubber switch cover deterriorated and made switch inoperative.
Project was to replace the switch for burner knob lights on a Weber 470 grill. Went on-line to learn how to access switch.

Removed knob panel to find switch. This only required opening the cabinet doors and removing 2 screws. Disconnected wires and squeezed prongs to remove old switch. Reversed process to complete project. Works great!

Broken/Degraded OEM Weber light switch
Use pliers to squeeze base of switch through hole in instrument/knob panel (it's not hard, but you'll have to contort your hands a bit to access the back of the light switch).

Leave the wires on the old switch until it's through the panel. Then simply disconnect one wire at a time from the old switch and connect to the new switch! After both wires are connected to the new switch, push it through the instrument panel until it clicks into place.

Replaced the light switch due to rubber weather seal bad
I did not want to remove the front panel to replace switch, too much work. I used a long screw driver to depress the clips that hold the switch in. I did one side at a time but would have been easier if I had another person to help pry the switch up when depressing the hold down clips. Pulled the switch up, then removed the wires to install on the new switch.
