Description:

The lift cable connects to the lift shaft assembly and goes around the roller pulley. This part is an OEM from MTD, Yard Machines, Bolens, Yard Man, Troy-Bilt, and Cub Cadet for use in lawn tractors. Keep in mind this high-quality part is priced individually. A screwdriver, a set of pliers, a socket set, and a wrench set might be needed during the installation process. This item is made out of metal and will need to be replaced if it breaks.

Lift cable on the right side broke

I raised the rear of the mower up removed right rear wheel so, I can get to the broken lift cable. Removed 2 cotter keys removed broken lift cable installed new cable, and put in cotter keys. Put the wheel back on, and let the mower down.

Screwdriver, Pliers, Power Drill, Socket set, Wrench Set, A good jack is required plus a lug nut hammer drill .

Steering shaft shaft and pinion gear plus worn out upper drive belt

Drive belt pulley was the hardest . You have drop the engine pulley off the engine shaft and fan on top of the rear hydrostatic drive . Its especially essential to have a hammer drill to do that . Pre soak both both of them with wd40 . On the fan, remove battery and pull out it's box holder, seat also . Front and back pulleys need to be removed to install drive belt otherwise you can't get belt replaced . Did that also at the same time of steering shaft and pinion gear . Remove steering wheel, plus gas tank. Also under side nut .

10 gauge deck, heavy, would not lift all the way up.

Removed battery (mine under seat). for access, remove parts (cables, black plastic pulleys). replace battery, You're done! don't put cables on in the dark I did got them crossed and the whole mower went dead. just replace the fuse!! my 10amp fuse was under the battery/seat. Its a professional series. yours my be in front under the hood. it cost 95 cent.
