Leg Catch Replacement for B&D Workmate
UTube provided a comprehensive step by step directions for replacing the the leg catch. The leg catch itself fit nicely in the old slot and retaining hole and took all of 5 minutes to remove the old broken leg catch with the new one. The operation of the leg catch is similar to that of the original with the exception that it is not as stiff. At this point, I do not know whether this is an advantage or a disadvantage. The catch does hold the leg in position once deployed. I bough 4 in anticipation of the other 3 breaking at some point especially as I have pointed out, they are much stiffer. Additionally, the workmate bench is stored in the garage here in Florida where the garages can get very hot and I am sure the heat is detrimental to this plastic leg catches.
