  • Not an easy repair -- brute force is required! "Hit it like it owes you money."
Not an easy repair -- brute force is required to remove the old chuck! Quoting from the YouTube video I watched (to see if I were doing something wrong), "Hit it like it owes you money." -- Robert Wadlington (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGTfsbR2khc) Installing the new chuck was a piece of cake. :) Same as my prior experiences, dealing with eReplacement Parts was "Easy-Peasy"! From finding the part, to billing & purchase, fast & affordable shipping and the quality of the part upon arrival -- all excellent. This is the first place I check for parts.

Replacement chuck came quickly, was the correct part, installed easily, and the info on the website helped me identify my problem properly the first time around. Great service! Will do business again. Steve Shimanek, Olotele Forge, American Samoa

It might be a great part, however I am unable to remove the old chuck. I removed the screw but as hard as I can do the old chuck wont come off. So i did not install the new.

electric drill chuck won't hold bits for more than a minute or so

    Cordless Drill

    Difficulty

    Easy

    Time

    Less than 15 minutes

    Tools Used

Screwdriver, Adjustable Wrench, Allen wrench, headlight

I watched the on-line video noting the reverse bolt that had to be removed. It was pretty tight. I had to put a vise grip on the screw driver and it immediately came loose. Mine had a a 'star' center on the small bolt. Used the Allen wrench to loosen the chuck. Didn't have to use the hammer on it as the Allen wrench was pretty long. Reversed the process getting everything tight. Pretty easy change over. No more loosening of the chuck on the bit.
