The inner pot fits perfectly inside the heating base and has metal handles on either side, making it easy to remove in and out. It is a 6-quart non-stick aluminum bowl with a large even surface, perfect for cooking. The inner pot is designed specifically for a slow cooker, so should never be used in the oven or on the stovetop. This part is dishwasher safe, however the manufacturer recommends hand washing it to protect the non-stick coating.
