Hello John , Great question. Part number 578287001 is is slightly different then your old part , the correct part is 530039218. Unfortunately, this part isn't available any more at eReplacementParts. This could be because: The manufacturer doesn't make this part any more There are no substitute parts made by the manufacturer to replace this part There is no longer any way for us to find this part and stock it in our warehouse We would love to help you find the part you need, but our call center agents will, regrettably, be unable to assist you with tracking it down. However, you may still be able to locate the part you need by trying the following: Using a search engine to type your part number and see if other retailers still have this part in stock Visiting online stores such as eBay and finding sellers that have this part Trying retailers and repair stores in your local area to see if they have the part in their inventory Talking to a local repair technician, who may have the part you need, or may be able to repair your existing part Reaching out to the manufacturer of your product to see what their recommendations are for replacing this part

Looking for this part for a Poulan pro chainsaw.
Shelby asked on 2020-01-09

The model/serial number is usually located on the handle assembly either on the side by the trigger or on the chassis assembly. It will either be on a black/grey sticker or a white sticker. Plug wire from coil was broke and air filter was drying out.
Took the back cover off of the Weedeater and pulled the whole motor assembly out about 3 inches. Removed 2 screws and the coil came right off. Put an old business card on the flywheel and bolted the new one back on. Spun it by hand to make sure that I had clearance. Slid the motor assembly back into place and replaced the rear cover. Put the air filter in and then primed it up and it started on the first pull. Easy as falling off a rock.

You must dismantle the entire blower to get to the ignition module. Simple job, just pay attention to what goes where as you dismantle it. I used a business card to set gap between module and magnet on flywheel.
