This is the ice maker kit for various refrigerator models that mounts to the rear of the appliance. The kit includes the necessary fill cup, power cord, bail arm, and ice maker itself. The water inlet valve dispenses water into the ice maker, which is kept in the rear of the freezer compartment and holds it while it freezes. This process repeats automatically until the ice reservoir bucket is full. If your fridge stops producing ice, this kit will need to be replaced immediately. To replace this ice maker, unplug your fridge and access the freezer compartment to remove the ice container and assembly. Plug your refrigerator in and follow the instructions to press the button for 15 seconds to manually advance it. If nothing happens, continue and unscrew, disconnect and remove the ice maker and the wires attached to it. With the old ice maker out, slide off and remove its tube shell to install on the new kit. Install the new shell and connect the wires to the new ice maker kit, and then install the entire kit back within the freezer compartment to secure it. Reinstall the ice container assembly and plug your fridge in to test the ice maker.
