No tools are required to replace this Filter. You can simply remove the old filter from the vacuum cleaner and replace it with the new one.
Designed according to strict HEPA standards, the media in this filter trap particles 75 times smaller than a human hair, including 99.97% of dust mite debris, animal dander, molds and pollen down to 0.3 microns.

Not easy to please!
My 12-year old Dirt Devil is one of the best vacuums, for long and short dog fur, that I have ever used. I needed to refurbish it (again) or replace it. My local vacuum store went out of business so I went online and had a couple of problematic results (returns). I decided to try ereplacementparts.com as a last resort. I am very pleased with the results. Filters and belts fit perfectly and the unit performs like new. Highly recommend!

Removed canister, took out old, dirty filter, put new filter in same place, returned canister to place on vacuum.

Belt broke. Air filter old

Removed the bottom of the vacuum and removed the brush roll and the old belt. Installed the belt on the motor shaft, then around the brush roll and pull the brush roll into its brackets, then replaced the bottom. Remove the dirt cap lid and removed the old filter and inserted the new one

Take off the motor housing cover. Disconnect the wires from the leads. Put new brush and holders in and reconnect the wires then put the cover back on. I also needed a vacuum filter and that just fits into the dirt cup.
