The head cap is secured in the back of a nailer to ensure a tight seal between the cylinder and the piston. It is an identical replacement for a missing or a damaged head cap that was originally installed on a new unit. Make sure to check the diagrams for your specific model for the correct installation of this new component. Keep in mind this high-quality set includes one durable head cap and a gasket to ensure an air-tight fit. The head cap is secured to the main body by four Allen wrenches. In order to perform this repair, you will need a properly sized Allen wrench which is also known as a Hex key.
