Very poor and weak design.
This part is easy to remove and replace but the customer must know that the finger knob is not part of the replacement part in case anyone accidentally throws the entire knob away.
Very important improvement installing the new one is filling the cavities with an Apoxsee because this handle breaks for one reason and that is poor engineering in the movement systems of the tool making it very hard.
While in this machine, disassemble all sliding mechanisms that raises the blade, clean really well, grease behind only the parts and most important, put two correct size washers in place of the one Oversized washer behind the lock nut on the threaded shaft that the motor/blade assembly rides on.

Blade would not raise or lower. I stripped hand wheel trying to force it like an idiot. Grease on screw was loaded with sawdust.
I dis-assembled the saw and cleaned grease from every part and lubed everything with graphite. While I had it down I adjusted every thing to my satisfaction. ( am retired, but I worked in an industrial woodshop for over 22 years. I know a bit about woodworking machinery) Now its not an Altendorf but it works great.

PERFECT
A piece of lumber fell on my Rigid table saw and then I had to crank the height adjuster by hand and it was very hard. I'm very impressed with how perfect this piece was and it took about 20 seconds to pop off the old one and screw this one in. Perfect!
