This is a genuine Cuisinart grinder basket for use in the Grind & Brew series. This part sits inside the top of the coffee machine, behind the control panel underneath the unit lid. It is coverd by the Grinder Assembly Basket Lid, part DGB-500GLID. This part can be hand washed with warm soapy water or cleaned on the top rack of a dishwasher. This part should be replaced when the blade is dull, for optimal performance. It is sold individually.

2. Removed the grinder cover, loaded grinder with coffee beans.
3. Installed coffee filter.
4. Put water in water chamber.
5. Turned on switch. The grinder worked to perfection and we had fresh coffee in a few minutes.
Worn out impeller - coffee grinds leak through base of grinder, blades cut through plastic housing, taped it up until replaced, had to have my coffee!.
