Reciprocating saw was making bad noises, and jumping gears.

    Screwdriver, Socket set

Had to take entire case apart. So you know, the nut on the bottom of the gear shaft is a left handed thread. Removed the nut, then the gear and shaft. This all tied into the mechanism that operates the blade shaft up & down. Kind of tricky getting them apart at first, but did come apart nice. Line the shaft and the mechanism back up, lock together and slide shaft & gear back into place. Reinstall the nut, (lefty threads) and put case back together. Not too bad of a job, took approx. 10 - 15 minutes. Make sure to pick through the gear grease in the case, while apart. I found quite a few gear teeth mixed in with the grease, from the old gear. I got all the old junk out, and then added some new grease prior to reassembly.

Also... I had to put circular saw in the "tool type" because it "did not" have a reciprocating saw as an option. Maybe "R.P." should add that as an option!
