This is an authentic OEM component from Briggs & Stratton. The cylinder head gasket is compatible with many small engines, and is sold individually. The cardboard composite gasket is fitted onto the cylinder head, providing protection from friction and leaks. A wrench is needed for the repair. This item is also included with the valve gasket set (808392).

1. Disassembled engine down to remove head. Engine is an OHV B&S Vangaurd engine.
2. Removed intake valve and cleaned. Used a press to extract valve.
3. Oiled and reassembled with new parts.
4. Engine fired up on first crank.
5. Root cause.....fuel sat for 4 years and then was used in engine. Lacquer from fu el adhered to valve and locked up the guide. When attempt to start again occurred after engine cooled the damage happened.
6. Be sure to NOT use ethanol based fuel and also no stabilizer or you will pay for it.
