This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement air filter which is commonly utilized on Briggs and Stratton engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. Its purpose is to filter out dust and debris from contaminating the engine, over time the filter may get clogged restricting the airflow eventually requiring replacement to maintain peak performance. It is a high-quality component which is made of durable foam material and it is sold individually. Please note the main pleated paper filter element is sold separately.

Simply open the cover on the air cleaner, then remove the old filter and replace it with the new one.

Power washer engine governor came apart

1 Remove engine from pressure washer
2 Disassemble crankcase
3 Remove old governor assembly
4 Installed new governor assembly
5 Assemble crankcase with new gasket
6 Install new governor spring at carburetor
7 Replace air filter element
8 Reinstall engine on pressure washer
9 Fill crankcase w ith oil
10 Run about 10 minutes
11 Drain oil and refill ( this removes impurities that may have remained from opening engine)

Motor would not start and after disassemble discovered that the carb was all gummed up due to bad gas. It was easier to replace carb, filter, and spark plug. Engine started right up after repairs.
