Took screws out from around the perimeter of the blower (7 screws), then unclamped where the blower tube connects. Used a socket on a impact drill to take the bolt off. The nut moves with the motor, so when you go to take it off don\'t be easy, try and torque it off quickly. Put the new fan blade on and as good as new.

Followed the instructions in the video on YouTube.
eReplacementParts had a video on YouTube explaining how to install the starter pulley.
In particular, how to rewind the spring to reload the pulley was very helpful.
The whole job would have taken just minutes, but for fighting with the spring, which had popped out of i ts half-case.

Fan blades all beaten from sucking up rocks and sticks when in vacuum mode.

I watched the YouTube video made by eReplacementParts which showed the key trick of using a long piece of parachute cord or other small rope in the cylinder via the spark plug hole to lock the crankshaft in place against the torque of the wrench on the fan blade nut. Otherwise trivial repair that took only 3 minutes.

I removed all torx (star) screws from the side of blower housing. Then placed a string fully into the lowered piston area (where spark plug removed) to help counter force of removing impeller fan bolt. Replaced the fan only after I placed the large washer behind fan then placed small washer and finally nut to a snug fit. removed string an d put back spark plug to test. It worked great for my model B and minced the leaves like when it was new.

Fan impeller disintegrated over time from vacuuming

Tools:
Pliers, Screw drivers, Wrench (Adjustable)

Opened the housing with a drill driver. Removed the shaft nut after putting WD-40 on it. I had to put a screwdriver through the cooling fan blade for the motor to \"lock the shaft\". Once removed, it was just a matter of putting the new fan impeller on the shaft and reassembling the housing. Works great and cost a fraction of what it woul d have cost to take it to a repair shop. $5 of the part. Time was less than finding a shop, taking it there, waiting for it to be repaired and then going to pick it up. Big savings of time and money. I just ordered a clutch for my gas trimmer!
