This authentic replacement part is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Murray walk-behind lawn mowers. The cable stops the blade when the control handle is released, unfortunately, if the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Keep in mind this high-quality rubber insulated cable is sold individually. Please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this component.
