Description:

This is an original Frigidaire, Gibson, Kenmore, Tappan, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, Crosley, Electrolux part for use with Dryers. The drum belt attaches to the motor pulley and spins the drum as the motor rotates. This part is sold individually. This belt is 89 1/2 X 1/4 inches. Because it is made of rubber it is common for this part to become brittle and need to be replaced. Here is a list of tools that are needed to replace the drum belt a Phillips screwdriver, putty knife and a Flat Blade Screw Driver.

Bad drum bearing and front drum guide

Removed top and front cabinet and disconnected all wires. Drum and parts were lifted up and out. Parts were replaced and the drum assembly was set back in cabinet. Wires, front and top cabinet were reattached. Dryer works like new.

Open up dryer case remove drum installed new belt put case back together

Drive belt was broken

Removed top plate and front. Slipped belt around drum. Replace belt around idol pulley and drive motor. Replace front plate than the top.

Dryer would rip holes on clothing

Watched couple youtube videos after dryer kept ripping holes on clothes.
From there I took apart my dryer to inspect which elements were broken or worn.
Read drum bearing was worn out and broken, upper drum glide was worn, sealbasket lower was replaced to have all new seals. I also ordered a dryer belt since the original was a little cracked.
Looked online for parts to my dryer and ordered them. About a week later I received them and replaced the parts.
Replacing the parts was fairly easy with the help of youtube. I also cleaned the interior and inspected any other components in my dryer. Heater coil had come off one of the ceramic holders. Duct seal was not properly sitting which caused leaking of lint inside dryer.
I let the dryer sit for couple days before any loads were ran through it, to make sure glue had dried properly.
It is now running better than before, and no more hole on clothing.
