This is an authentic Ryobi replacement part manufactured for use with circular saws, this is not an after market imitation part. The depth adjustment knob assembly has a metal nut on the inside, and is used to lock the base in place when adjusting the cut depth. This knob is sold individually, please see model diagram for additional parts.

Depth adjustment knob was missing and screw was worn.
All i had to do was pop the adjuster knob bolt back into place slide the adjuster bar back into place mount the washer over the bolt then thread the female threaded knob back on.
