Question: Lack Of Water Flow

HP1959

I had completed the regular descaling process as I when required using the brand liquid after the process the machine made 2 cups of coffee. Then there appeared to be a lack of water flow so the machine would make a clicking sound run through the process but would fail due to a lack of water. I took the machine apart cleaned everything I could but still no water getting pulled from the tank
Question: Esam 3300

Trammel

I replaced the generator in my esam 3300 and now when i power it up the two gteen lights in the front flash repetedly but nothing els happens.

Question: Low Water Output On Brew Only - ...

Bullcreek4

Our machine has abruptly struggled to produce a cup of coffee. We have removed, cleaned and disassembled the infuser and all other accessible areas. We do eventually produce a cup of coffee however the machine struggles and takes much longer to produce the previous quantity. We have changed grind and volume settings to no avail. The machine sounds like it is going to "blow a gasket" - it is louder. Brews coffee at a trickle.
Hot water and steam wand function normal - no problems there.
at a loss - more detailed cleaning?, infuser problem? control board?
please advise.

Question: Weak Steam Wand

dharmapoop

I have replace the steam wand unit on my Mag 3300esam and it no longer leaks. It still has erratic and sometimes very little steam power. My sister has this same machine and hers really blasts strong and steady. What could be the cause of the weak wand?

Thanks, M
Could be a lot of things. You didn't give enough details to diagnose. But you did say you replaced the stem.

When you run the steamer, do you notice some water filling up the tray while using the steamer? If so, maybe there might be a leak or a problem with an o-ring in the valve directly connected to the steamer. The o-rings in the valves for the steamer (the dial knob used to turn on/shut off the steamer) are a common failure point. If it is sticking out from the face of the unit at all, push it back in until it it almost flush.
Thanks for the reply, I ended up replacing the steam heating element which I was able to find on the internet elsewhere. It was a medium difficulty job, not for everyone. works great now!
Question: Grounds Indicator Light

Kosborn

My machine will turn on and go thru the cycles but the grounds indicator light stays on and I can't make coffee. I checked the waste container and the tabs are still there. Is there a sensor that needs replacing?
I have the same problem , Did you fix it? can you share with me how if you did.

Thanks .
my email link removed
I had the same problem. The bottom tray sensor had a few wires coming out of it. I unplugged the purple wire from the circuit board and that was enough to disable the sensor and indicator light turned off. I now have to manually check the grinds, not a big deal.
Question: Replaced Generator Now New Probl...

NeedCoffee

I replaced my generator. Now when I turn on my 3300 I get 2 blinking green lights on the coffee cups and a solid red exclamation triangle. I think I need to replace the thermal fuse. Where is that located? Do you sell that on this site? Thanks!
Correction, I see that there are new fuses that come with the new generator in line with the 2 grey wires. So now I have no idea what it could be.
UPDATE: Solved
A little RTFM and I found I needed to clean and lube the infuser. All working now.
Question: Water Leak After Replacing Pump ...

Dbanayo

Hello, after replacing the water pump I'm getting a leak where the tube pyre di2 (part #27) meets the valve (part #35). I just purchased a new valve (part#35) , a new tube offer (part#27) and a new spring (part#28). I believe a may have broke my original spring (#28) when replacing the valve. Does the tube include an o ring and does the spring also work on this section? I didn't see the o ring and or clip in the diagram for this section but it looks close enough from the other parts to work on this connection
Hi, I'm wondering how you solved the leak in the valve where the tube pyre connects.? I have the exact same issue after replacing both the pump and valve. I'm guessing the tiny o ring inside the valve is the problem. It has a ridge of wear around one side. But I don't see this part available. Were you able to find it, and did you fix your leak? Thanks for any insight you can offer.
Question: Water Not Reaching Grounds Durin...

czieres

During the brew cycle, as its time to deliver water to the grounds, nothing happens. Flow sensor and water pump have been replaced with same results. No leaks are apparent. - ESAM3300 DeLonghi Magnifica.
Question: Water Leak

mbattle

My Delonghi Magnifica ESAM 3300 leaks water at all times. It is clear water. Sometimes it seems to come from underneath the machine but mostly it looks like it goes into the drip tray and then the tray overflows. If I add half a tank of water 2-3 hours later the tank is empty and water is everywhere. Other than that, the machine works just fine. What can I do to stop the leak? Thanks!
Look at the seal on the back of the tank. Sit the full tank on a table top (with paper towels !) and watch the valve for drips.
Take off all the covers and run the machine to pinpoint the leak. I did that and clearly saw where the leak was coming from. I took off one of the values, cleaned it and put it back on. That fixed it for me. It failed after about 4 years but it's not working fine again.
Question: Water Level Check

espresso

I keep getting water low light in the middle of coffee making and it stops it half done. Is there replacement part for water level sensor something ?
Question: Door Touching The Tray

AntoineHachem

On ESAM3300 when I open the door it touches the tray. This is happening on two units ESAM3300. What can cause this problem, and how to repair?
Thank you!
Question: DeLonghi Leaking

buddy011

How do you know if you need to replace the generator?
Question: Bean Grinder

dwfloater

My bean grinder jammed so I took it apart and removed some plastic bits that were jamming it. Now it goes through the motions but no beans get ground. What did I do to cause this? Is there a timing or alignment that has to be just right?
I have the same issue. were you ever able to solve the problem?
Question: Hot Water Dispenser And Milk Fro...

greeneyes5759

Delonghi Magnifica 3500 Hot water dispenser and milk frother/steamer do not work
My machine dispenses coffee products but the hot water and milk frothing/ steaming functions do not work. The hot water does not go outside of machine but rather stays internally and then moves into the overflow tray. What is wrong and how can I fix this ? The unit has been unused for several months but was thoroughly cleaned before being put away in the kitchen cabinet.
Question: Tank Leak

lightning

what are the part numbers for the white gasket outside the tank and the red o ring inside the tank?
Thank you for your question!

The manufacture has not supplied the parts that your looking for. However, you can order the whole tank which does come with the gaskets you are looking for (7313228241).

Good luck!

-Halifax
Question: No Brewing

1498917

When the machine is turned on it usually runs a check and releases water to clean the channel and set for brewing. My machine is not doing this and when selecting a coffee cup, the coffee is grind but no water flows through the machine. Same issue if you select the steamer, no water comes through. What should be fixed/replaced?

Thanks
Hi,

Thank you for your question. There could be a few things causing these problems. Water is flowing someplace else the unit would have an error and not do anything. First thing to look for is if there is a leak anywhere on your counter. The next to check is the drip tray. Normally the unit will not discharge water into this tray other than drips off the nozzle or the frother. If there is water in the tray then you could be looking at a new generator (its the part that heats the water for the coffee).

Good luck!

-Halifax
Question: Power

lineballs

Power button does not work. Unplugged unit, plugged back in -- the red lights come on then go off, but nothing when pushing the power on button.

Question: ESAM3300 Water Tank Sensor

824036

I can't seem to get the machine to know that the water tank is in place. It thinks the tank isn't there. What part is this? Thanks.
Question: DeLonghi ESAM3300 Leaking

1176576

I have a DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM3300 and when it brews the coffee water leaks out of the steamer wand. I imagine that a seal must be going bad to allow water to pass to this part of the machine when only the brew unit is calling for it. It also leaks water when we first turn the machine on and it goes through its warm up process. Can anyone tell me if they have experienced this and which seals they replaced to fix it? Also, how difficult was it to do the repair? Thanks.
Thank you for your question! The part that you need to replace is the tap part #7313216621. Replacing this part will fix the leaking problem you are having. These taps do get worn out over time.
The repair is fairly simple. Just start with the screws on the back. Covers slide back and then hing out from the top. Then you will find screws for the front and the top. Once the front display has been removed you will be able to have access to the tap and the hoses.
Halifax's reply is spot on. We have an ESAM4400 and it was leaking water from the tap when the machine was first powered on and when it was powered off.

We replaced the tap and it is like new.

Just to add a few steps to Halifax's reply,

- the tap is held in place by three screws. Remove those.
- disconnect the two electrical wires (you should have unplugged the machine earlier) and plug them into the new tap so that you are sure of the correct electrical connections.
- remove the spring clip with needle nose pliers (the clip holds the water hose in place).
- remove the water tube and the red o-ring.
- insert the red o-ring in your new tap
- insert the water tube so that the metal collar is below the point where the spring clip is inserted.
- insert the spring clip
- re-install the tap
- reassemble the exterior pieces

That's it. Real simple.
Thank you for your help and advice. The repair went as planned and the machine is working like new!!
This was a super easy repair. My EAM3400 had been leaking like crazy. I figured out that the tap and a variety of internal O-Rings on tubes running to the generator needed replacing following various instructions on this site. No more leaks and at a fraction of the price it would have cost for me to take the machine in for repair.
Question: Is This The Control Board That C...

Yolanda

Is this the control board that controls the on/off button on the espresso machine? Got harder and harder to turn on the espresso maker in the past week. Had to press the power button very hard to get it to turn on and today it stopped turning on completely.
It sounds like you are looking at getting a new front control panel (#7332178600). Replacing this will take care of the turning off and on problem.
Question: Power Board

Yolanda

Is this power board what controls the machine turning on and off? A week ago it got harder and harder to turn on the machine. You'd have to put more and more pressure on the power button to turn it on and today no matter how much pressure I put on the power button it won't turn on.
Question: Tap

twinturbo

Is the tap the entire piece shown on this web site?
WJA
Hello twinturbo,

The image you see of the 7313216621 tap is what you will receive when you order it. So, what you see is what you get.

Hope this helps,

Hello 1081540,

Some manufactures will not let us supply all of the part to all of their the products. Therefore that is why in some cases you have to contact an Authorized Service Center to obtain them.

Question: Leaking Water

kim

which part needs repair if machine leaks water from bottom rear of machine after brewing & frothing milk and grinds are all over interior of machine after brewing espressos?
We had that problem about 2 years ago. My husband took it apart-cleaned it and replaced all the o-rings & it stopped leaking. Hardly cost anything to get silicone o-rings. It was still throwing coffee grounds so then we replaced the diffuser ($60) and it fixed everything. It is now leaking again and this time the leak is coming from the generator on top of the machine. It is part 64 (generator) on the above diagram. It's the part that heats the water and if you look at the diagram it appears like two pieces of metal sandwiched together. It was leaking from in between. We've ordered another one and are waiting to receive it but the first time it was all the o-rings.
My machine is leaking from the same area; bottom, rear, water tank side. When you say you replaced "all" the O-rings, can you tell me which O-rings did you replace that resolved your issue? There are a few listed.
Question: DeLonghi ESAM 3300

ej3000

My super automatic espresso maker froze and I need to replace some parts, but I don't see them specifically listed. I see the water lines listed, but do not see the beige connectors that connect the water lines to the generator. The clips to hold them on are listed. Can you help me out with the part number?
