This is an original cylinder cover part manufactured by Makita. It is teal in color and made of plastic. It has the Makita logo written in white on the side. It is approximately 6-Inches high and 8-Inches long (at its widest parts). It is the housing that protects the cylinder from the outer elements. It has slits on the back side to allow for proper air flow and to prevent overheating. If this part warps or cracks, it will need to be replaced. It is held in place by two M5X14 bolts, which will need to be removed in order to replace it. This part is sold seperately.
