We put some food to be cooked in this pressure cooker and it won't even go to steam and after 30-45 seconds it beeps and goes to warm. The red button does not go up and even when you restart it, unplug it and start over, it does the same thing. Is this normal? Any suggestions?

Hi Cindy,
Thank you for your question. It sounds like the issue could be the timer. If you tried to reset it and that did not work, check the lid and the lid gasket and make sure that it is sealing correctly. If it is not sealing, it will not pressurize correctly. Also make sure that you are not overfilling the pressure cooker with liquid or cold food. Make sure the food is at room temperature when putting it inside. If you require more information, you will need to contact Cuisinart. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!
