    Screwdriver, Torx bit, precision flat blade screwdriver, soldering iron

    1. Removed Torx screws (7 total)
    2. Separate shell, on the screw side, set aside. Photograph switch and wiring for reference.
    3. Lift out power cord, wires & protector, and switch (remembering placement - or refer to photo taken when replacing)
    4. Slide in precision flat blade screwdriver (smallest you can get) into the power connection point, inside side and pull both power wire and screwdriver out at the same time.
    5. Repeat #4 for the other side
    6. On new power cord, remove extra length of exposed leads to approximately the same length as the old one, then strip off about 3/8 in. wire casing on both hot and common leads, twist wire and apply with the soldering iron a liberal amount of solder.
    7. Remove power cord protector from old power and place it on new one
    8. insert power leads back into the switch, making sure they are secure with a tug
    9. Replace switch, all wiring and power protector making sure everything is secure and tucked away where it is supposed to be - look at your photo.
    10 Replace shell and screws.

    Wire was frayed

    1. Removed ring around bit.
    2. Removed screws holding body shell together.
    3. Removed damaged wire and cord protector
    4. Modified new cord protector - shortened to fit into case better and not create same fraying problem
    5. Inserted new cord through protector
    6. Wired into and placed in drill
    7. Closed it up
    Works great again!
