The most common reason for replacing the throttle control is when the engine doesn’t throttle up when the throttle lever is increased. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the throttle control is a 3/8 inch socket, ¼ inch socket or nut driver and a 5/16 inch socket or nut driver.

Parts Used
1. Remove catcher guide from deck.
2. Remove cable hold screw from engine.
3. Remove throttle cable from handle bars.
4. Remove cable from carburetor on engine.
5. Replace throttle cable on handle bar.
6. Attach cable to throttle on carburetor.
7. Replace cable hold screw.
8. Adjust cable to assure full throw of throttle arm.
9. Tighted hold screw.
10. Replace catcher guard.
2. Remove cable hold screw from engine.
3. Remove throttle cable from handle bars.
4. Remove cable from carburetor on engine.
5. Replace throttle cable on handle bar.
6. Attach cable to throttle on carburetor.
7. Replace cable hold screw.
8. Adjust cable to assure full throw of throttle arm.
9. Tighted hold screw.
10. Replace catcher guard.

Blade brake cable broken, throttle lever broke off, replaced both cables.

The upper end of the blade brake cable went under the control lever. Make sure you make a note of how it's routed. Pretty simple replacement.
