This is an Authentic OEM replacement part used on String Trimmers. This is the Spring that fits on top of the Spool Assembly. This is a Metal Spring and it is Sold Individually. Over time springs may loose its tension and may not function as intended. If this part is lost or damaged it should be replaced. No tools are required to replace it.
• Simply remove the Spool Cap
• This allow for you to remove the Spool
• Remove the old Spring and replace it with he new one
• Reattach Spool and the Cap

Remove string line from old spool. Rewind string line on new spool and put new spool unit into string trimmer. Turn on and tap on ground to auto feed line to the correct length

Easy to fix, replaced spring, put spool over spring, and carefully put top cover and lined up "clips" of cover -just be careful so trimmer spring doesn't "unspool"

1. Removed the spool holder cover.
2. Removed bad spool, discarded.
3. Installed the new compression spring and replacement spool.
4. Replaced spool holder cover.
5. Tested the operation of the trimmer to assure that the repairs were correct.

Old cap was worn down and spring fell out and was lost -- Best to extend cord by tapping cap on a non-abrasive surface

Wound some cutting line on the spool, put the spring on top of the spool and installed both of them, the installed the bottom cap.
The parts were perfect replacements. I was able to save my old trimmer that still have many many years of life in it. The parts went together very easily and the trimmer was back working in a jiffy. Thanks

When I got the trimmer, I noticed that the bump knob didn't return. I went on your website, called up the trimmer by make and model, and looked at your schematic and parts list. Your diagram clearly showed a spring that my trimmer didn't have. The spring had a part number, you had the part, and now the trimmer is back in business. I wound new line onto the spool and tested the trimmer to make sure the line fed properly. It did. Now my daughter has a working trimmer for weed control at her home.
