The pin on my Makita router to keep the motor shaft from turning while changing the bit would no longer engage.
Insert the spring into the hole in the bottom of the motor bracket first, then the pin with the flanged end out, then press it in a bit more and place the retaining ring in the slot near the outside of the housing.
