This replacement clamshell set is a genuine Dewalt item, not an aftermarket imitation. It is a high quality part sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. It is specially designed for impact wrenches and drivers. This set contains both left and the right sides of the housing. Please note the screws that hold the clamshell pieces together are not included, they are sold separately. This clamshell set is made from durable plastic with an ergonomic soft grip handle. Replacing this set you will need a torx screwdriver.

When I tore it apart to replace the clam shell, the trigger switch wouldn't fit in the correct spot. Had to cut some tabs out of the way so the switch would fit. I ordered the part by the model # on my old one, so they must be making a one size fits all.

Remove all T10 screws care split housing remove one half and replace with new half. Make sure all internal parts are seated correctly turn over and repeat . Do not pinch any wires when housing slides together install screws and tighten . Test tool

Disassembled gun, replaced brushes, cleaned all internal parts, new grease, and reassembled. tool runs great.
