Removed the four phillips head screws from rear cover and removed cover. Removed two screws holding capacitor strap in place. Removed two wires from capacitor and removed capacitor. Performed same in reverse for installation of capacitor. Started generator and had full output power restored. Very Easy !!!!!!

Generator would not put out enough voltage for anything to work.

Removed 4 Philips screws holding generator section cover. Next removed 2 Philips screws for capacitor bracket. Replaced CAP. Reassembled in opposite order. New capacitor corrected problem.

Generators starter switch was shorting to ground causing engine to stall and die. We use the generator to charge an off-grid solar systems batteries on cloudy/rainy days. It was not producing clean 24

If the battery wasn't dead I would have disconnected it first...
Removed (4) screws from plastic cover and the (2) screws holding the capacitor in place.
Took note to remove and replace the wires the same way they were previously installed.
Replaced cover.
Used a flathead screwdriver to depress the tabs holding the switch in place as I pushed it out from behind.
Took notice of the (3) wire positions as they related to the toggle operation of the switch.
Replaced wires in proper order and pushed the switch back into panel.

1. Removed 4 screws from generator plate
2. Removed generator plate which exposed capacitor
3. Removed 2 screws from bracket holding capacitor
4. Removed capacitor & disconnected 2 wires
5. Connected 2 wires on new capacitor
6. Replaced new capacitor in generator bracket & screwed in place
7. Replaced generator plate

GENERATOR NOW PRODUCES ELECTRICITY

Unscrewed the cover off of the generator for phillips head screws. Capacitor is right on the back of the generator. Had to undo strap, remove capacitor undo 2 wires put it new capacitor connect the wires good as new
