This is an original replacement part manufactured for use with Black and Decker electric trimmers. This is rubber button that fits into the lower part of the clamshell set where the tube connects. The tube has 3 positions, or length stops, and the button is used to adjust the length. The button is sold individually.

Separate the housing, Then remove the old button from the shaft and install the new one. Then put the housing back together.
