The ridges that are used to retain the lid to the bowl were a little bit too high. My wife tried forcing the lid on, and we had to apply heat to the lid to get it off again. I had to use a Dremmel tool to lower the ridges, so that the lid would fit normally.

Thought I'd have to toss the whole appliance, but thought I would check first to see if just the bowl could be replaced. You had it!! I ordered it (very reasonable price), it got here in a few days and fit perfectly. This saved me a bunch of time and expense.
