Questions & Answers

My new bottom door gasket keeps falling out when I close the door to replace the outer door panel. Can you help with some suggestions? Thank you!
Donna asked on 2020-01-12
Hello Donna and thank for writing. Open the dishwasher door, you will see screws on the sides. Unscrew the bottom 3 screws on each side while supporting the outer door panel. Close the dishwasher door(carefully while supporting the outer dor panel). Pull out a little bit on the bottom of the outer door panel and then pull down. It will come off. You will now have access to the screws on the inner door panel. Take out the bottom 2 screws on each side completely and loosen the top screw on each side. Open the door again. Carefully lift up on the bottom of the door panel. You should be able to grab the seal with needle-nose pliers and pull it out. (note how it comes out) Then reverse everything starting with sliding the new seal into the correct groove, replace all the screws side to side so that nothing warps. Don't forget to retighten the top screws you didn't take out. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Do you need to use glue when you replace the bottom seal of the dishwasher door?

Hello Carol, Thanks for your question! No, you do not need glue. It is just a friction fit. Open the dishwasher door, you will see screws on the sides. • Easy to install, fix the problem
I ordered the bottom door gasket for my leaky Frigidaire dishwasher. I also replaced the door gasket at the same time. Parts were the correct fit and easy to install. I ran two test cycles and so far the new gaskets are working perfectly. Saved me from a costly repair or replacement.
