Hello, all! Welcome to the second edition of eReplacementPart.com’s Top Blogger Award! Today we will be highlighting a few of our current favorite woodworking blogs. These blogs take a lot of effort, with plenty of project tutorials that require lots of sweat and determination. They deserve a good pat on the back as a thank you for all that hard work.

To my sweaty, hard-working woodworkers: Wow. Not only are your projects amazing, but you find time to blog about it? That is something to be admired. We the hobbyists applaud your continuous creativity because you are our go-to source for ideas, tips and tricks. I would encourage you to snag the button below and share your noble award with anyone who comes to your site.

Enough rambling. Here are this month’s award winners!

1. Ana White – Homemaker: When Ana White says she is a homemaker, she means it. She literally makes homes, and everything that goes in them. I have used this site for about a year now and almost every day there are brand new plans with easy to follow tutorials. Her plans are all categorized by skill level and she has lots of articles to help beginners get going. I love Ana White!
2. The Wood Whisperer: There is a reason why The Wood Whisperer is such a popular woodworking site. Many would say that it is the number one resource for woodworkers! Not only is it a woodworking blog, it is also a community. There is a forum, store and even live chat and video! One of the main highlights of TWW is The Guild — a membership program that guides you through EVERY project EVERY step of the way, gets you vendor discounts and free swag! The Wood Whisperer is where you go to become a pro.
3. Matt’s Basement Workshop: Matt’s Basement Workshop Podcast is a great source of know-how for anyone getting into woodworking. His podcasts cover a wide range of topics and the best part is they are FREE! I know I don’t always have time to sit and browse the internet so these podcasts are perfect for people on the go. Matt is constantly giving away free stuff, so be sure to check out his Schwag Giveaways page!
4. Woodworking for Mere Mortals: Steve from Woodworking for Mere Mortals is the best. Those of you who follow us regularly know we are friends with Steve, and we can’t stop gushing about him. His video tutorials make projects easy and fun – and his projects are always something everyone can use. If you are a mere mortal looking for fun woodworking, look no further.
5. Stu’s Shed: Stu’s first sentence in his About page says “Murdering electrons in a Woodworking Workshop.” If that doesn’t sell you on his blog, I don’t know what will. He is from down under and seriously loves to woodwork. He knows the ins and outs of every tool imaginable and has great video demos. Check this Aussie out for great demos and lots of tool reviews.
6. The Renaissance Woodworker: Shannon from the Renaissance Woodworker is a man with a talent for hand tools. Really, I am in awe at his talent. His projects are exquisite; his videos and podcasts walk you through his work. He is also a participant in WoodTalk, a podcast with Shannon, Matt from Matt’s Basement Workshop, and Marc from The Wood Whisperer. Follow his blog to pick up tips on handmade pieces of art.
7. Sandal Woods: Al from Sandal Woods has a great blog full of tutorials, videos and galleries of his work. Something I really like about this blog is that Al is always responding to his comments in depth. He would be a great resource to anyone with woodworking questions. He has a great list of resource links and a store with a bunch of cool gadgets! Check him out!
8. Uppercut Woodworks: Matt from Uppercut Woodworkers has some truly unique woodworking content. He hosts a show called Woodchat, which is a video chat Q&A session with new experts on the show each time! You can watch live and submit questions you want answered. His gallery is on display for all to see, and it is very impressive.
9. Highland Woodworking’s Blog: We are all familiar with Highland Woodworking, but have you ever checked out their blog? It is jam packed with the latest news in the woodworking world, including tutorials and fun stories. I already use Highland Woodworking as a trusted source for finding other woodworking sites but their blog is really a fun place to learn and engage. Lovers of woodworking: give this blog a look.
10. Woodfever: Do you have wood fever?! Jeff from Woodfever definitely does, and it is contagious. He has a gift for creating his own plans, which he has both for sale for free on his site. I have been following his blog for over a year now and his plans are still some of my favorite. He pays lots of attention to detail, and his pieces are classic. Go here for free plans and infinite woodworking fever!
