Pulled the belt cover off the front and rear and then took the belt off the front pulley then replaced with new belt and put the two covers back on

1. Removed the pulley cover. (2 bolts)
2. Loosened the belt holder under the pulley. (1 bolt)
3. Removed the pulley cover attached to the motor. (2 bolts with spacers)
4. Installed new belt.
Very simple an easy task. Try to do the job while leaving the edger sitting on it\'s wheels.

Removed the guard and simply replaced belt. E replacement parts is the only supplier of the belt I could find. Price was right. My 25 year old edger working better that ever!

It was pretty easy for anyone with a little skill. Minor parts to remove. Took off belt cover, loosened guide bar. Took off old belt and put on new. Then re-assembled.

Edger drive belt needed replacing

Removed side panel to access pulley on engine
Removed shroud on cutter pulley, loosened belt guide over pulley
Had to compress spring to put the guide back on the spring rod
Had to grind down the brake pad compressor to fit in between the guide rod & the cutter shroud, then secure the spring with locking pliers to repla ce the retainer fixture.
Put the shroud back & the side plate with sockets.
Readjusted the retaining spring by the engine pulley
After putting the spring retainer back on, removed the locking pliers, & re-secured the belt shroud with the two screws.
Test operated the new belt
