The metal bar attaches to the top rocker mount and is used to support the foot that protects the blade. What is the difference between type 1 &2?

Hello Bernard, thank you for your question. Our research indicates that Type 1 is made in Canada type 2 is made in Taiwan. There really isn't any difference between the one and two except where it was manufactured. The Bar is the same part number for each type. We hope this helps.

Heated the end of the nozzle with a Bernzomatic torch. It didn't take a lot.

Make sure you keep the set screw. The parts do not include the screw. You need the screw to attach the foot to the bar.
